Dental implants in Turkey: two trips, healing time and what to ask
A dental implant is a titanium (or zirconia) screw placed in the jawbone to replace a missing root, later topped with a crown. Most patients need two trips to Turkey: one to place the implants and one, 3–6 months later, for the permanent crowns once the bone has healed around them.

Key facts
Typical ranges for a healthy adult (sources at the bottom of the page). Your surgeon or dentist sets your own plan after examining you.
What it is
After a 3D scan, the implant is placed under local anaesthetic. The bone then grows onto the implant surface (osseointegration). If bone is insufficient, a bone graft or sinus lift may be needed first, which extends the timeline. Immediate loading (a crown on the same week) is possible only in selected cases.
Techniques
Two-stage implants
Placement, healing for 3–6 months, then the crown.
Immediate loading
A temporary tooth on the implant within days, in selected cases.
Bone graft / sinus lift
Adds bone where it is lacking; extends healing time.
Implant brands
Ask for the brand and keep the implant passport – it matters for future repairs.
